When you come to visit the castle before the wedding, you sometimes ask us this question: where should we do our couple photoshoot? And generally, we have a hard time settling on a specific answer.

It's true, the property is really big! As a result, there are lots of spaces, and it's difficult, if not almost impossible, to use all the places as a setting. So you have to make a choice.

To help you out, we’ve listed the spaces that we think are the most suitable for a couple’s photoshoot. You can customize them according to your wishes, your personality, your ideas: at the castle, nothing is impossible, and you’re free to use a space we might not have thought of!

1) The pool esplanade: for iconic and powerful photos

Let's start with an obvious space that you simply can't ignore: the pool esplanade is the most iconic spot of our castle.

Maybe you even chose our venue specifically for this Renaissance facade, its arches and large windows, this horseshoe-shaped staircase, this pool, and this view of the valley.

Each of the elements mentioned above can be the setting for your most beautiful couple photoshoot. The elements of the landscape are full of grandeur and elegance, and will give character to your photos. You then appear...

2) The terrace: for aerial photos

Right near the pool esplanade, another spot can become the backdrop for your best photos: the terrace.

Accessible from the living room, the bureau, and the guardroom, the terrace is a spot often loved by our couples—and for good reason: its gray and white stones are constantly bathed in sunlight, reflecting its rays to brighten your photos.

The Gascon forests and orchards in the background complete this picture and turn your photoshoot into a fairy tale.

3) The castle's moats and the Bastion garden: to immortalize the sunset

Want to capture golden hour photos? The castle moats and the Bastion garden are made for you. Both located to the west, these spots are perfect for watching the sun's final stretch.

A veil of light envelops this timeless moment, and your photos take on an inimitable golden hue. For soft, romantic, timeless shots.

4) The park and the fields: for a beautiful getaway for two

People often think about taking pictures inside the castle: it seems obvious, doesn't it? But would you have thought about getting your photo taken outside its walls?

Our park, about fifteen hectares, is full of nooks, ancient trees, openings, and other green views just waiting to be photographed, with your couple in the foreground of their scenes.

If photos could be sound, we would probably hear the rustling of leaves in the breeze, and the gentle chirping of birds nesting in the branches.

Something to give you both a moment away from the noise of the celebrations, a well-deserved break before heading back to party!

English-style garden, the park isn’t really fenced off either. Its boundaries are blurry, and it’s easy to get lost around a wheat or sunflower field... fields that can also make for really beautiful backdrops for your shoot, if you think of it!

5) The north esplanade: for the perfect balance between stone and greenery

The north esplanade has the advantage of offering a variety of views: if you want to change up the scenery without actually having to move from one area to another, this place is perfect.

You can enjoy:

the majestic porch door,
the pillars topped with flames at the entrance,
the cypresses here and there, decorating the scenery,
the church of Saint-Antoine, its bell tower and its rose window,
the paths lined with perfectly trimmed bushes,
the stone buildings in the enclosure: Olive's house, Simone's house, the wine cellar, and even the Bastion,
a balcony overlooking all of Gascony, with views of the village and the valley.

So by changing lights and angles, the possibilities for shots become endless.

6) The adjoining rooms: to play with a hundred and one atmospheres

Depending on your options, we provide many rooms: all connected in a row, walking through them allows you to move between different atmospheres very quickly. So you can play around with the reception rooms, switch up the vibe, and enjoy their different perks.

a. The stables

They are rarely used for photo shoots, but the shots from this 2024 wedding show us all their potential: the openings light up the room, and the gentle elegance of the bride and groom contrasts with the harshness of the stones.

b. The billiard

A simple, no-frills setting that lets you truly be the center of the photos, without any distractions: the perfect place to play with contrasts and enjoy the light from its large windows.

c. The living room

d. The bureau

We go from light to mystery as we enter the bureau. With its dark red wallpaper, its imposing fireplace, and its large bookshelf, it gives off an indescribable but definitely strong emotional vibe. Perfect for shots that play between light and shadow, and for couples who love a place with character.

e. The guardroom

Last room in the row, the guardroom with its iconic checkered floor charms many of our couples every year. Photos taken in the guardroom are chic and romantic, and the couple's knowing glances are amplified by this sumptuous setting.

7) The cellar: for fans of unexpected places

While the title might be surprising at first, our cellar is quite a popular spot for couples to take a few photos: cellars are supposed to be dark, but once the fairy lights are switched on, they light up the couples' faces and show them at their best.
