What is the reception capacity?

The receptions rooms can accommodate up to 550 seated guests (banquet) as follows:
- The stables: 180 people
- The billiard room: 90 people
- The lounge: 60 people
- The office: 50 people
- Guards' room: 100 people
- The dining room: 60 people.
The main courtyard can accommodate up to 600 seated guests.

Question 2

Is the caterer taxed?

You are free to choose your caterer. When you make your reservation, we will provide you with a list of local service providers that you can ask for quotes, but you are under no obligation to use any of them.
We provide the caterer with a catering room (85 m2) with a 3 x 30 A meter, so that he can set up, as well as a cold room so that he can store all his foodstuffs in a cool place.

How many beds are available on site?

Our wedding packages include 28 beds (14 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms).
There is also the possibility of renting the independent gite "Le bastion du prince noir", which has its own private swimming pool and can sleep up to 14 people (7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms).
We have PRM access and accessible bathrooms.

Do we have exclusivity for the location?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when a wedding is organised, the bride and groom have exclusive rights to the venue.

Question 5

Do you offer plans B in case of bad weather?

Accepted Answer

One of the advantages of Château de Poudenas is that we can organise the entire reception both indoors and outdoors.
If the weather conditions do not allow you to hold the cocktail party and/or dinner outside, you will be able to relocate to our various reception rooms included in your package or by taking optional rooms. If we add up all the reception rooms, we can seat up to 540 people.

Until what time can we play music?

Accepted Answer

Music is permitted:
- outside until 11.30pm.
- in the dance hall until 4am.
Option to extend the evening until 6am.

Question 7

What parking is provided on site?

Accepted Answer

The car park in the grounds of Château de Poudenas allows you to park all your guests' cars in a designated, well-lit area.

Question 8

Are cleaning costs included in the service?

Accepted Answer

Cleaning is included on departure.
Intermediate cleaning is available on request.
Guests are required to leave the gîtes in a normal state, with all rubbish emptied and removed.

Question 9

Do you provide furniture (tables/chairs, lighting, etc.)?

We have the following furniture available for hire:
- Miami chairs in white resin
- Round tables
- Buffet tables
- Pedestal tables
- Barrel tables
- Atmospheric braziers
- Video projector screen
....
A list and prices will be provided when you sign the contract.

Question 10

Is brunch included?

Accepted Answer

Sunday brunch is included in the various wedding packages we offer. 
As an option, and at an additional cost, you can have brunch at the château's swimming pool.

Question 11

What is the network status like and is there an internet connection?

Accepted Answer

We have good 4G reception generally everywhere outside Poudenas. Wide-range wifi is available in all the function rooms and accommodation on site.

Question 12

Fireworks, releasing lanterns, candles, do we have the right?

Accepted Answer

Fireworks: yes, in the dedicated area of the park (unless the site is on fire alert or equivalent).
Lantern releases: this depends on the wind, humidity and municipal and prefectoral decrees.
Candles: yes outdoors and indoors, depending on the venue and the candle/photophores used.

Is heating included in the service?

Accepted Answer

Heating included according to season and if necessary. 
For receptions rooms, this will be subject to an additional quote.
